Biophilia refers to human's intrinsic affinity and love for nature and the biological world. This is because humans have an instinctive and deep connection to the natural world.

The concept of biophilia suggests that our well-being improves when we are close to nature, interact with living organisms, and experience the natural environment.

When humans are naturally exposed to the natural environment, they are provided with infinite positive effects of nature on health, cognition, and overall quality of life.

When plants, natural light, and water are filled around us, physical and mental happiness can be improved.

Biophilia was popularized by biologist Edward O. Wilson's book bio, published in 1984In 'Philia', the concept influenced various fields including architecture and urban planning, psychology, and environmental conservation.

Ultimately, biophilia aims to connect with the deep love that humans have with nature and to keep nature close to our daily lives to improve welfare.

'바이오필리아'란 자연과 생물계에 대한 인간의 내재적인 친화력과 사랑을 의미한다. 인간은 자연 세계와 본능적이고 깊은 연관성을 가지고 있기 때문이다.

바이오필리아의 개념은 우리가 자연에 가까이 있고 살아있는 유기체와 상호작용하고 자연 환경을 경험할 때 우리의 웰빙이 향상된다는 것을 암시한다.

인간이 자연환경에 자연스럽게 노출될 때 건강과 인지와 전반적인 삶의 질에 대한 자연의 긍정적인 영향을 무한히 제공받게 된다.

식물과 자연광 그리고 물 등의 녹생곤간이 우리 주변에 채워지면  신체적이고 정신적인 행복을 향상시킬 수 있다.

바이오필리아는 생물학자 에드워드 오에 의해 대중화되었으며, 1984년에 출판된 윌슨의 책 '바이오필리아'에서 그 개념은 건축과 도시 계획, 심리학 그리고 환경 보존을 포함한 다양한 분야에 영향을 미쳤다.

궁극적으로 바이오필리아는 인간이 자연과 가지고 있는 깊은 사랑과 연결을 시켜주며 복지 향상을 위해 자연을 우리의 일상 생활에 가까이 두고자 하는데 있다.
