Stereotypes and prejudices arise, become beliefs for a long period of time, become values, and people with similar thoughts interact in the digital world and act with the belief that they are right.

Prejudice refers to an attitude toward members of a group, and this attitude has actions or actions taken against other groups in any way.

These prejudices lead to discrimination, intergenerational, regional, and gender bias, and society can be divided as someone with power hates a group and translates it into hostile behavior.

고정관념은 잘 변하지 않는 행동을 주로 결정하는 확고한 의식이나 관념이나 어떤 집단의 사람들에 대한 단순하고 지나치게 일반화된 생각들을 의미한다.

고정관념에 치우친 생각으로 굳어지면 편견이 되고 이는 공정하지 못하고 한쪽으로 치우친 생각을 의미하며 상대에 공감하지 못하는 태도를 갖게 된다.

고정관념과 편견이 생기고 오랜 기간 동안 신념이 되어 가치관으로 자리잡게 되고 디지털 세상에서 유사한 생각을 가진 사람들이 상호작용하면서 옳다는 믿음이 생기면서 행동하게 되면서 문제가 생기기도 한다.

편견은 어떤 집단의 구성원에 대한 태도를 말하며 이러한 태도는 어떠한 방식으로든 다른 집단에 적대하여 취해진 행동이나 행위를 갖게 된다.

이러한 편견은 차별대우, 세대간, 지역간, 성별간 편견으로 이어지고 힘을 가진 누군가가 어떤 집단을 싫어하고 이를 적대적인 행동으로 옮기게 되어 사회가 분열 될 수 있다.

발달된 미디어 사회는 이러한 정보의 공유로 인해 혐오문화로 발달하고 이러한 반사회적 가치는 시간과 공간을 초월하여 폭발적으로 확장될 우려가 있다.

사람들의 사고과정과 관련해서 정보의 습득을 방해하는 추가적인 요인은 경로의존성과 선점우위효과, 확증편향이 있다.

고정관념과 편견으로부터 휘둘리지 않고 건강하게 살아가기 위해서는 비판적인 질문들을 통해 신뢰할 수 있는 정보들을 구별해 낼 수 있어야 한다.

따라서 길거리 가로수 사이로 걸린 현수막들이 알리려는 메시지에 대해 진위여부를 파악하고 비판적인 시각으로 바라보자.

그리고 다양한 의문과 질문을 가져야만 고정관념에서 자유로울 수 있다.

메시지는 왜 혹은 어떤 목적으로 만들어졌나? 현수막을 통해 보여지는 메시지는 어떤 방식으로 상대방을 설득하고 있나? 똑같은 메시지를 사람들은 어떻게 이해할까? 메시지는 어떤 관점을 가지고 있는가 혹은 배제하고 있을까? 현수막을 통해 전달하고자 하는 메시지는 무엇이며 누가 만들었나?
