Knowledge refers to the ability to understand and perceive information or facts, and wisdom refers to the ability necessary to use this knowledge to understand situations and solve problems.

Known as the world's top consulting firm, McKinsey uses a seven-step approach to solving problems for managers based on advanced knowledge and mature wisdom.

The seven-step approach consists of problem definition, defined problem structure, prioritization, time distribution and work plan for each issue, issue analysis, implications, and suggestions to be implemented.

McKinsey uses a method of visualizing problems in writing to minimize falling into logical errors while finding solutions to problems.

The following general steps are used to create consulting reports.

Second, it provides background information on the consulting target. It presents an understanding of the organization's history, current situation, problems and opportunities.

Third, describe the analysis methods and approaches used. Describe data collection and analysis methods, people interviewed, and survey results.

Fourth, we report the main results and findings based on the analysis performed. It specifically lists problems, opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.

Fifth, recommendations based on the findings are presented. Recommendations should be as specific and actionable as possible. It also provides a basis for supporting each recommendation.

Sixth, a plan for implementing the recommendations is presented. Specify and explain in detail the timetable, budget, and necessary resources.

Seventh, it summarizes the main contents of the report and draws conclusions. It is also possible to mention prospects for the future or areas that require further research.

Above all, efforts should be made to make it easier for readers to understand by using clear and concise sentences and graphic elements when writing a report.

네 번째,  수행된 분석을 기반으로 한 주요 결과와 발견을 보고한다. 문제점, 기회, 강점, 약점 등을 구체적으로 나열한다.

다섯 번째, 발견된 결과를 바탕으로 한 권고 사항을 제시한다. 권고 사항은 가능한 구체적이고 실행 가능해야 한다. 또한 각 권고 사항을 지지하는 근거를 제공한다.

여섯 번째, 권고 사항을 구현하기 위한 계획을 제시한다. 시간표, 예산, 필요한 자원 등을 명시하고 구체적으로 설명한다.

일곱 번째, 보고서의 주요 내용을 요약하고, 결론을 도출한다. 미래에 대한 전망이나 추가적인 연구가 필요한 부분을 언급할 수도 있다.

무엇보다도 보고서 작성 시에는 명확하고 간결한 문장과 그래픽 요소를 사용하여 독자가 이해하기 쉽도록 노력해야 한다.
