Michel de Nostredame (14 December 1503 – 2 July 1566) was a 16th-century French physician, fortune-teller, and prophet.

He was born in Provence and had a high belief in fortune-telling and prophecy along with his career as a doctor.

Nostradamus was born in the province of Curalen, where he studied medicine and worked as a doctor. But his more famous reason is predicting the future through prophecies.

Nostradamus's prophecy was published in 1555 as "Les Propheties" ("Les Prophet"), consisting of 942 quatrains (four lines of poetry).

These quatrains consist of coded language and ambiguous expressions, making them difficult to decipher, leading to various interpretations among various decoders.

On the philosophical side of Nostradamus, it is believed that his prophecy was intended to convey warnings and prophecies, especially about the future.

He is often considered to have foretold the political situation of the time and the unfortunate events of the future, dealing with events related to wars, plagues, and natural disasters.

His work is much debated about prophecies, but how accurate they are is still under discussion.
