최근 경북에서는 경북안전체험관 부지 공모로 각 지자체에서 유치전이 활발했다.

지역 균형발전이라는 명분 아래 최종 후보지로 안동과 상주로 결정됐다.

중대형 공공사업인 경북안전체험관이 들어서면 소방안전교부세 100억 원과 230억원의 도비가 투입된다고 한다.

경북안전체험관 부지 공모에 탈락한 지자체에서는 실망감이 이만저만이 아니다. 실패했다고 질책하는 사람들도 있다.

이러한 세태를 보면, 한심하고 옹졸하기 짝이 없는 경북인들의 속내가 드러나는 모양새다.

축하한다라는 말에 인색한 경북 사람들이다. 

경북의 낙후된 지역의 발전을 위해 경북안전체험관 부지가 선정된 곳에 대한 경북도민들의 진심어린 축하가 요원하다.

인구절벽 시대로 치닫는 미래는 경북도민들간의 단합된 마음가짐이 중요하다. 잘 구축된 도로망으로 인해 경북내 어느 곳이든 2시간 이내로 갈 수 가 있는 시절이 되었다.

경북안전체함관을 구경할 수 있는 여행코스로도 계획할 수 있게 됐다고 생각하자.

사촌이 땅을 사면 배가 아프다는 말은 이제 옛말이다. 같은 경북 도민의 입장에서 이웃사촌 같은 타 지자체의 발전과 성장을 도모할 때 우리의 미래가 보이기 때문이다.
