Gumi Thermal Combined Power Plant is the largest industrial complex cogeneration company in Korea that has played a pivotal role in national economic development by supplying Yal energy and electric energy to more than 260 companies since its completion in June 1992.

Gumi Thermal Power Plant was established as part of the collective energy supply project of the national industrial complex in accordance with the government's energy use rationalization policy to reduce oil dependence due to diversification of fuel.

Characteristic is that it supplies high-quality thermal energy and literally supplies ultra-pure-treated water vapor to companies with high precision and purity.

The Gumi Thermal Combined Power Plant, which boasts the majesty of a huge chimney soaring in the middle of Gongdan-dong, Gumi-si, has already passed 30 years and is a representative landmark symbolizing the history of the Gumi National Industrial Complex.

Even in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and carbon neutrality, there are still companies that need Gumi combined power plants, and it is expected that they will still be alive in changes in future energy policies.

구미열병합발전소는 연료의 다원화에 의한 석유 의존도 감소를 위한 정부의 에너지 이용 합리화 시책에 따라 국가산업단지의 집단에너지 공급사업의 일환으로 설립됐다.
