On January 30, 2023, the launch ceremony of the "Partisan Political Reform Members' Meeting" was held, leaving a historic mark on the reform of the electoral system and the promotion of constitutional amendment.

While the public has distrusted the National Assembly by seeing confrontations and conflicts between political camps, 118 ruling and opposition lawmakers attended the launch declaration and agreed on the constitutional amendment to solve the tasks of the times for political reform.

Chairman Kim Jin-pyo said, "This year without big elections, if we don't reform properly, we will all be big sinners in Korean political history," and stressed that this year, we must end the political culture of winner-take-all and extreme confrontation.

The "partisan political reform assembly" is a group voluntarily formed by lawmakers of the ruling and opposition parties to push for political reform and election system reform to break the divisive politics of fandom politics and camp confrontation and pursue symbiotic politics.

A politician who attended the inauguration ceremony said, "The reason for the existence of politics is for the better development of our community, the better life of the people, and the way to create politics that can reflect the will of the people is to make it properly."

Therefore, it is an important responsibility of politicians to create a proper political system in which the people's will for sovereignty is properly reflected in politics, representation and proportionality are properly guaranteed, and regionalism is resolved.

2023년 1월 30일 '초당적 정치개혁 의원 모임' 출범식이 열려 선거제 개혁과 개헌 추진에 대한 역사적인 족적을 남겼다.

국민들은 그동안 정치권의 진영 간 대립과 갈등을 보며  국회에 대한 불신감을 가져온 가운데, 이날 118명의 여야 의원들이 참석해 출범선언문에 서명, 정치개혁을 위한 시대적 과제를 해결하기 위해 개헌에 대한 한 뜻을 모았다.

김진표 의장은 “큰 선거가 없는 올해, 제대로 개혁하지 못하면 우리 모두는 한국 정치사의 큰 죄인이 될 것”이라는 말과 함께 올해는 반드시 승자독식과 극한대립의 정치문화를 종결하자고 강조했다.

'초당적 정치개혁 의원모임'은 팬덤 정치, 진영 대결의 분열적 정치를 타파하고 공생 정치를 추구하고자 정치개혁, 선거제도 개혁을 추진하기 위해 여야 의원들이 자발적으로 구성한 모임이다.

이날 출범식에 참석한 한 정치인은 정치의 존재 이유에 대해 우리 공동체의 더 나은 발전, 국민들의 더 나은 삶을 위한 것이며 국가 발전과 국민들의 의사가 제대로 반영될 수 있는 정치를 만드는 길은 결국 국민들의 의사가 제대로 반영되게 하는 것이라고 했다.

따라서 국민의 주권의지가 제대로 정치에 반영되며 대표성과 비례성이 제대로 보장이 되고 지역주의가 해소되는 제대로 된 정치체제를 만드는 일은 정치인들의 중요한 책무이다.
