내가 살고 있는 구미는 조성된지 50년 이상이 된 국가산업단지가 있는 곳이다.

2000여 이상의 기업들이 다양한 분야에서 기업의 사활을 걸며 고군분투하고 있는 생생한 삶의 현장이기도 하다.

지난해 12월 29일 구미상공회의소에서 발표한 2023년 1분기 기업경기전망조사에 따르면 구미지역 기업경기전망을 나타내는 지수인 BSI전망치는 81을 나타내고 있다.

구미지역 전업종에서 악화전망에 이를 것이라는 예상이다.

우크라이나 사태로 인한 원자재 가격 급등을 비롯하여 코로나의 장기화 그리고 기준금리 인상 등으로 인한 대내외적인 위험성이 대한민국의 미래를 암담하게 하고 있는 현실이다.

경제학자들에 따르면 2023년은 소비자 물가의 최고 고점에 달하고 여전히 높은 고금리 시대가 이어질 것으로 보고 있다. 금리인상은 대출과 기업투자를 어렵게 만들어 결과적으로 고물가에 따른 소비하락과 기업의 생산성을 떨어지게 하여 경제에 악영향을 가져오는 것이 경제학의 기본이다.

방송의 일부 전문가들은 한국 경제의 폭락과 부동산이 최소 50% 잠식될 것이라는 이론을 펼치기도 해 국민들을 불안에 떨게 만들기도 했다.

하지만 힘든 삶일지라도 바르게 살려는 노력과 의지가 더욱 필요하다. 최악의 경제상황과 어려운 환경에 직면했다면 조금 더 부지런하고 성실하게 살면된다.

그 누구의 도움없이 스스로의 미래를 개척해 나가는 자에게는 어떠한 난관도 두렵지 않기 때문이다.
