Persistence and effort are needed to materialize ideas for realizing social values and to be able to act.

The spirit of social entrepreneurship refers to the spirit of innovative challenge to achieve social goals such as solving social problems and social innovation.

They are different in innovative thinking, indomitable will, and risk-taking tendencies.

Social entrepreneurs have a common moral spirit of altruism, ethics, cooperation, and solidarity, and always struggle to engage various members of society.

Economist Thompson has defined social entrepreneurs as people who are involved in business activities but show qualities and behaviors in work that give more consideration and help to the community than making money.

Anyone who cares about their neighbors and tries to promote co-prosperity in the region has the qualities of a social entrepreneur. The coming future is a social and economic era that makes life more prosperous.

사회적 가치란 우리의 삶에 있어서 존중되고 공감이 되며 반드시 필요하다고 생각되는 것을 의미한다.

이를 찾기 위해서는 언제나 깨어있는 생각과 열린 마음으로 세상을 진중하게 살펴야만 한다.

우리가 알지 못하고 깨닫지 못했던 사회적인 현상을 알게되면 이를 개선하기 위해 머리를 맞대야만 한다.

사회적 가치 실현을 위한 생각을 구체화시키고 행동에 옮길 수 있게 하기 위해서는 끈기와 노력이 필요하다.

사회적기업가 정신이란 사회문제 해결과 사회혁신 등 사회적 목적을 달성하기 위한 혁신적 도전정신을 의미한다.

 이들은 혁신적인 사고와 불굴의 의지, 그리고 위험감수 성향 등에서 남다르다.

사회적기업가는 이타심과 윤리의식, 협동, 연대 등의 도덕적 공감정신을 공통적으로 갖고 있으며 사회의 다양한 구성원들을 참여시키기 위해 언제나 고군분투한다.

경제학자 톰슨은 사회적기업가에 대해 비즈니스 활동과 관련되어 있지만 돈을 버는 것보다 지역사회에 더 많은 배려와 도움을 주는 일에서의 자질과 행동을 보이는 사람들로 정의내렸다.

이웃을 배려하고 지역의 상생을 도모하려는 사람은 누구나 사회적기업가의 자질을 갖고 있다. 다가올 미래는 삶을 더욱 윤택하게 만들어주는 사회적경제시대이다.
