사람들이 이러한 적의를 품는다면,

그들에게 원한은 사라지지 않는다.

‘결코 이 세상에서 원한으로

원한은 풀리지 않는다.

원한의 여윔으로 그치나니

이것은 오래된 진리이다.

‘우리가 여기서 자제해야 한다.’라고

다른 사람들은 자각하지 못하니

이러한 것을 자각하면

그 때문에 다툼이 그친다.] 라고 부처님이 말씀하셨다.

진실로 원한을 풀고자하고 원한을 없애고자 한다면 이기심을 버리고 박애와 배려심을 갖도록 노력해야 한다.
