The declaration of the end of the war corresponds to the entrance to peace negotiations, and it is an important meaningful measure to advance the war into peace and cooperation.

On Sept. 30, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Forum was held at Handong University's Kim Young-gil Grace School to prepare for the inter-Korean peace era, which will take place after the declaration of the end of the war and the peace treaty.

The Small and Medium Venture Business Exchange Division, the Marine and Agricultural Industry Development Division, the Humanities and Culture Promotion Division, and the Transportation and Logistics Development Division discovered cooperative projects in the Hwandong Sea area during the New Northern Period and continued to discuss detailed implementation plans.

The main focus was the proposal for cooperation projects between basic local governments, including the creation of the Sea Kaesong Industrial Complex and humanities exchanges between the two cities of Pohang and Hamheung.

Looking at the movements of the public service society, we can realize that exchanges between the two Koreas are just around the corner.

Even if reunification is achieved, the government has been making step-by-step preparations due to the large differences in economic size, infrastructure, and culture between the two Koreas.

For example, there are experts in charge of greening and sabang construction in each region of North Korea to create infrastructure for transportation in preparation for unification, and even experienced retired forest officials are listed on the list to be deployed to North Korea.

Unification may not be very meaningful for the younger generation, but what can make the wounds of war heal for those who have not been washed away is true unification of national reconciliation and harmony.

Due to climate warming, vegetation in forests on the Korean Peninsula is also changing. Along with changes in Mother Nature, the consciousness of the Korean Peninsula must also change progressively.

9월 30일 한동대 김영길 그레이스 스쿨에서 종전선언과 평화협정 이후 전개될 남북 평화시대 준비를 위한 경상북도 남북경제협력 포럼이 열렸다.

중소벤처기업교류분과, 해양․농축수산업개발분과, 인문․문화진흥분과, 교통․물류개발분과에서 신북방시대 환동해권 경제 분야 협력 사업을 발굴하고, 이행계획 수립에 대한 구체적인 논의를 이어갔다.

주요 골자로는 바다 개성공단 조성을 비롯해 포항과 함흥 두 도시간의 인문교류 등 기초 지자체간 협력 사업 제안이 나왔다.

공직사회의 움직임을 보면 남북간의 교류가 코앞으로 다가온 것을 실감할 수 있다.

통일이 되더라도 남북간의 경제규모와 사회기반시설 그리고 문화 측면의 큰 차이로 인해 교류가 쉽지 않고 무리한 측면이 있어 정부에서는 단계적인 준비를 해오고 있다.

한 예로 통일을 대비해 교통을 위한 사회기반시설을 조성하기 위해 북한의 각 지역 산림을 맡아 녹화사업 및 사방공사를 담당할 전문인력들이 준비되어 있고, 이에 경험 많은 퇴직한 산림분야 공무원들 조차도 북한에 일순위로 투입될 명단에 등재되어 있다고 한다. 

젊은 세대들에게 통일은 그다지 의미가 없는 일일 수도 있겠지만, 전쟁의 상처가 씻기지 않은 세대들에게 마음의 상처를 아물게 만들 수 있는 일은 민족간의 화해와 화합이 담긴 진정한 의미의 통일이다.

기후 온난화로 한반도 산림의 식생 또한 변하고 있다. 대자연의 변화와 함께 한반도인들의 의식도 진취적으로 변해야만 한다.
