Don't try to reveal yourself in a wrongful way. If you reveal your injustice, you will help your resentment, so the Buddha said, "Use the door to practice by being unjust."

Buddhist monk Wu Hak said, "It is impossible not to reveal what happened when it was unfair," but it is also said that in life, it is often better not to respond even if it is unfair.

Monk Wu Hak told the people that if they are jealous, or framed by someone, think, "Oh, I'm good!" and never respond and fight is the best way to respond.

The unfair feelings of the person who unexpectedly misunderstood or falsely accused are indescribably painful and heavy. It is the world that if you try to reveal your unfairness, you may be in a more difficult situation.

Even if the current situation is unfairness itself, heaven knows the truth and I know myself. It is more important than anything else to always trust yourself and live proudly. Always try to keep a heavy heart in your heart, like a mountain that does not shake no matter what anyone says.

보왕삼매론 열째, 피억불구신명

억울함을 당해서 밝히려고 하지 말라. 억울함을 밝히면 원망하는 마음을 돕게 되나니, 그래서 부처님께서 말씀하시되 "억울함을 당하는 것으로 수행하는 문을 삼으라." 하셨다.

우학스님께서 말하길 "억울한 일을 당했는데 밝히지 않는다는 것은 정말 무심도인의 경지가 아니고서는 도저히 불가능하다."고 했으나 세상을 살다보면 억울한 일을 당하더라도 대응하지 않는 것이 좋을 때가 많다고도 한다.

우학스님은 중생들에게 만약 누군가로부터 시기와 질투, 모함을 당하면 "아, 내가 잘났구나!"하고 생각하라며 절대 대응해서 싸우지 않는 것이 최고의 대응방법이라고 했다.

뜻하지 않게 오해나 누명을 쓴 이의 억울한 심경은 이루 말할 수 없이 괴롭고 가슴 무겁다. 애써 억울함을 밝히려다보면 더욱 난감한 상황에 놓이게 되는 경우도 있는 것이 세상 일이다.

현재 자신의 처한 상황이 억울함 그 자체일지라도 진실은 하늘이 알고 나 자신이 알고 있다. 늘 자신을 믿고 떳떳하게 사는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 누가 뭐라하여도 흔들리지 않는 태산과도 같이 무거운 마음을 늘 가슴에 담도록 노력하라.
