그러나 오랜 기간 동안 상대적으로 보수적인 정치적 성향과 지역적 특성으로 인해 급격한 변화나 발전보다는 안정과 전통을 중시하는 경향이 있었다. 

이러한 상황에서 더불어민주당 경북도당은 지역사회의 변화를 이끌어내기 위해 중요한 역할을 해야 한다. 

이는 지역 주민들의 삶의 질을 향상시키고, 경북의 지속 가능한 발전을 이루는 데 기여할 수 있기 때문이다.

경북 지역은 전통적으로 농업과 제조업에 의존해 왔다. 그러나 최근 글로벌 경제 변화와 4차 산업혁명의 도래로 인해 새로운 경제 모델이 필요하다.
