The recent climate policy response strategy seminar in the forest sector held by the Korea Forestry Promotion Agency was an important forum for discussion to achieve environmental protection and economic development at the same time.

This seminar emphasized a carbon neutrality strategy through forests, and at the center of it was the introduction of the emission trading system.

Forests are important resources in our society, especially carbon absorption and ecosystem conservation.

However, there is a lack of adequate compensation mechanisms for sustainable management, and the efforts of forest managers are not sufficiently compensated.

Here, the emission trading system can act as an important tool to encourage sustainable forest management by converting the carbon absorption capacity provided by forests into economic value.

It was also discussed as important in terms of social contribution in that it provides companies with opportunities to realize environmental protection and social responsibility.

It will be a good example for companies to further strengthen their sense of responsibility for environmental protection by actively pursuing carbon neutrality strategies through forests.

Cooperation between governments, businesses, and forest managers is therefore essential.

Through the introduction of the emission trading system, it will contribute greatly to strengthening the conservation and management of forest resources and creating opportunities to enjoy economic benefits through social contributions.

This is an important step for our future and contributes to making the most of the carbon absorption capacity of forests to achieve sustainable development.

한국임업진흥원이 최근 개최한 산림분야 기후정책 대응 전략 세미나는 환경 보호와 경제 발전을 동시에 이루기 위한 중요한 논의의 장이었다. 

이번 세미나에서는 산림을 통한 탄소중립 전략을 강조하며, 그 중심에는 배출권 거래제의 도입이 있었다.

세미나에서는 이러한 거래제의 도입이 산림 관리의 경제적 장점을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 

기업들에게 환경 보호와 사회적 책임을 실현할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 사회적 공헌의 측면에서도 중요하다고 논의되었다. 

기업이 산림을 통한 탄소중립 전략을 적극적으로 추구함으로써, 환경 보호에 대한 책임감을 더욱 강화할 수 있는 좋은 예시가 될 것이다.

따라서 정부와 기업, 그리고 산림 관리자들 간의 협력이 필수적이다. 

배출권 거래제의 도입을 통해 산림 자원의 보전과 관리를 강화하고, 사회적 공헌을 통해 경제적 이점을 누릴 수 있는 기회를 마련하는 데 큰 기여를 할 것이다.
