Gyeongsangbuk-do is said to have created a noise buffer zone, but the actual noise evaluation results are at a level that causes direct inconvenience in life.

In this situation, the argument to develop the Jeokdong district into a city with 'comfortable settlement conditions' is a contradiction that is far from reality.

Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo said he would make the new airport an airport that can operate 24 hours a day.

This means the possibility that Gumi residents will be exposed to noise day and night.

Noise can lead to various health problems such as sleep disorders, stress, and cardiovascular disease.

Gumi City's development plan does not fully consider the noise problem at the military airport.

구미시가 추진 중인 적동지구 도시개발 사업은 심각한 문제를 안고 있다. 

군공항 소음 문제를 외면한 채 진행되는 이 개발 계획은 주민들의 삶에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

대구 동구 주민들은 대구공항 전투기 소음으로 큰 불편을 겪고 있다. 정상적인 대화가 어려울 정도로 심각한 소음은 일상 생활에 큰 영향을 미친다. 

신공항 활주로가 구미를 향하게 된다면, 구미 주민들도 동일한 피해를 겪을 것이다.

경북도는 소음 완충지대를 조성했다고 하지만, 실제 소음 평가 결과는 생활에 직접적인 불편을 초래하는 수준이다. 

이러한 상황에서 적동지구를 '쾌적한 정주 여건'의 도시로 개발하겠다는 주장은 현실과 동떨어진 모순이다.

홍준표 대구시장은 신공항을 24시간 운항 가능한 공항으로 만들겠다고 밝힌 바가 있다. 

이는 구미 주민들이 밤낮없이 소음에 노출될 가능성을 의미한다. 

소음은 수면 장애, 스트레스, 심혈관 질환 등 다양한 건강 문제를 초래할 수 있다.

구미시의 개발 계획은 군공항 소음 문제를 충분히 고려하지 않고 있다. 

주민들의 건강과 삶의 질을 최우선으로 고려한 정책이 필요하다. 

따라서 모순된 개발 계획을 재고하고, 실질적인 문제 해결을 위한 노력이 절실하다.
