일본 오두쿠시마 가마카즈시의 (주)이로도리는 90%가 산림의 벽촌으로 인구의 50%가 65세 이상인 지역의 노인들이 가볍게 참여할 수 있는 비즈니스를 발굴했다.

나뭇잎을 상품화하여 연간 2억5천만엔의 소득을 올린다고 한다. 194농가가 참여하고 본 사업의 노인은 177명이며 평균 나이는 78세였다.

이처럼 산촌자원을 활용해 사업비 투자없이 산촌공동체에서 할 수 있는 대표적인 사업들이 많으며 산채와 약초는 훌륭한 자원이 된다.

혼자하면 힘들고 돈도 안되며 재미도 없지만, 함께하면 힘도 덜 들고 돈도 되고 재미있고 산촌마을공동체가 함께 행복한 삶을 누릴 수 있다.
